Giiusepe Vajra of G.D Vajra

Giuseppe Vajra just graduated from enology school last fall, but has been in the cellars of his family estate since he was 10.  His father Aldo still is the winemaker but Giuseppe’s energy and passion are already making a big impact on the winery and the wines.  Located in Vergne, Barolo’s highest village, this traditional estate make wines renowned for there supple and elegant character.

Andrea Lonardi was born in Italy’s Valpolicella (Veneto) in a family of wine growers, raised among the drying racks for “appassimento” and drinking Amarone.  In 2000, Andrea graduated with a degree in Agriculture and specialization in Viticulture and Enology.After University, Andrea worked in Valpolicella, Southern France and in California. With the 2009 vintage, he assumed responsibility as Technical Director for Castello Monaci in Puglia and Re Manfredi in Basilicata where he manages all viticulture and winemaking
